For the last 3 years September and October have topped the charts for the months with the highest number of houses sold in Gunnedah and this Spring seems to be following the same trend. In the last 5 days we have seen 5 sales agreed on between excited buyers and sellers alike as buyers shake off the Winter doldrums and the market springs back to life (excuse the pun, had to get it in somewhere!)

Gardens are in full bloom and the days are getting warmer as we greedily soak up our doses of Vitamin D and think about putting the winter woollies back into storage. The recent rain has blessed the crops with a timely drink and farmers are looking to the coming harvest with optimism and cotton farmers are readying their paddocks for planting. Employment remains strong in our area with the mining industry continuing to provide a welcome economic boost and security for the many families who have moved here for work after the rationalisation and closure of mines in so many other areas. You have to truly be a glass half-empty person to not walk with a Spring smile in your step and a sense of gratitude for all that our region and season has to offer at the moment. The real estate market has followed suit with many buyers enthusiastically entering the market and securing homes at fair prices. Likewise new properties are hitting the market with vendors seizing the opportunity presented by the glorious season and strong selling conditions to showcase their home in the best light.
